Dear Society At Large,
Too often we are pushed to be definable.
Be a jock. Be a nerd. Be a prom queen.
Now I know what you’re thinking. “He’s dangerously close to treading into well-worn Breakfast Club territory.”
But I’m not.
I’m not here to tell you those labels don’t fit or they only exist in high school.
They do and they will haunt you for the rest of your life.
But why not make the system work for you?
Be a jock, but don’t shy away from your nerd roots.
Who says you should be confined to one label?
I ask that as a nerd/jock/artist hybrid, of course.
Don’t shy away from the labels. Nobody else does. But don’t be afraid to use ‘em all.

As a fellow hybrid, I must agree that multi-labeling is indeed essential.
